Fantabulous debut of this new year
old group of two North-American musicians who blend their understanding
of pop-rock with the sophisticated improvisational qualities of their
two European counterparts. This self-titled sinergy blends warm lyrics with a versatile range of musical dynamics that go from elegant intimacy to vital intensity, playing with the acoustic energy of wood, the power of electricity, and a brush of electronica. |

Electronic Blues where the harmonica and guitar are the references, adding musical ingredients of other genres such as jazz & bluegrass, which offers a modern sound within the ambience of traditional rhythm & blues. A harmonica that surprises you for its versatility, a lively, creative guitar, together with bass and drums with excellent rhythmic complicity has resulted in this: a Hurricane that goes beyond music and energy. |

Two virtuous instrumentalists who split open the classics of Muddy Waters, following the more aggressive style of Elmore James, they continue with traditional country blues themes, and introduce folk tracks like "Tango Ala Turk", previously reproduced by Mick Kinsella, and also "Marcelle&Marcel" by J.J.Milteau, they go beyond energy, surprise and intense emotion all at once, which gives pride to their interpretations. Technically speaking the cd is very good done and faithfully reflects the music performed by this Barcelona band who know how to play the american music. What they lose in feeling they gain in elegant brightness. GREAT |

Joan Pau Cumellas, one of the best and most technical Spanish harmonica
players. He has an exceptional technique together with a fluent
harp phrasing which define him as a really outstanding harp player.
Cumellas does not belong to old Chicago harmonica players school, that is to say, his main influences do not come from musicians like Walter Horton, Little Walter, George Smith or even Sonny Boy Williamson although, undoubtedly, he has listened to them. His refined style is closer to musicians like Carlos del Junco, Mark Ford or Jean Jacques Milteau. |
